Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policy directives and policies supersede all related Regional Health Authority (RHA) policies, practitioner staff rules and regulations, procedures, protocols, guidelines, standard work and/or work standards.
Former RHA policies (including procedures, protocols, guidelines, work standards, standard work, medical directives, etc.) remain in effect until specifically replaced by SHA policy directives or policies or are repealed in another vetted process.
The database contains only policies that are in effect. Historical/superseded policies are not found in the database and can be accessed through the Policy Office.
The database is updated regularly with new SHA policies and Clinical Standard documents as they are developed and approved. Anticipated turnaround time to add a document to the database is within two business days of the effective date.
The remaining former RHA region-wide policies will be added to the database by former region, as they become available. Once policies are loaded into the database, the former region-wide policies will be removed from their former RHA sites.
